Florence and the Machine — британская группа, образованная в Лондоне, в 2007 году, исполняющая инди-рок с элементами блюза, музыки соул и готического рока. Возглавляющая коллектив певица Флоренс Уэлч (родилась 28 августа 1987-го года) фактически является единственной постоянной его участницей; нередко само название группы рассматривается как её сценический псевдоним.

Во время записи «Cosmic Love» слова пришли к ней, когда она лежала на полу. А когда Флоренс всё это спела, мы в студии просто разрыдались. Она — великий британский эксцентрик: в этом нет ни малейших сомнений.
